Ivana Alawi Leaves ‘Pinoy Big Brother’

Ivana Alawi has officially rejoined the outside world after spending a week inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” house, following in the footsteps of fellow houseguest Mavy Legaspi.
The March 15 episode of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” recapped the first week of the historic season, which features a mix of GMA-7 and ABS-CBN stars as housemates in celebration of the show’s 20th anniversary.
One of the highlights of the week was the housemates’ first weekly task, where they were challenged to hold oversized batteries to keep a free-standing star lit. Initially performed in duos, many pairs failed the task, leaving only two successful teams standing: Ivana and Ashley Ortega (dubbed IvAsh) and Dustin Yu and Klarisse de Guzman (DuKla). Their victory ensured the housemates’ weekly food supply.
This battery challenge was also part of Ivana’s three secret tasks as a special houseguest. By holding onto the battery for 60 minutes, she not only helped secure their food supply but also unlocked P60,000 worth of financial assistance for a chosen charity.
During her stay, Ivana also completed her other two tasks: organizing a birthday pool party for Josh Ford and offering heartfelt advice to housemate Charlie Flemming.
Upon her exit, an emotional Ivana greeted hosts Bianca Gonzalez and Gabbi Garcia, admitting, “Hindi ako ready. Sabi ko hindi ako iiyak e.” She was warmly welcomed back by Mavy Legaspi and her younger sister, Mona Alawi.
Reflecting on her experience, Ivana shared a valuable lesson from her time in the house: “To be a strong family at magmahalan.”
Meanwhile, the episode ended on a cliffhanger, as Gabbi teased the arrival of new housemates. This could also mean a new partner for Ashley Ortega, who was left without a duo after Ivana’s departure.
This season of “Pinoy Big Brother” will crown two winners—one from GMA-7 and one from ABS-CBN—marking another milestone in the reality show’s history.
