SB19’s “DAM” Dominates Number 1 on Billboard World Chart!
SB19’s global takeover continues!
The P-pop Kings have officially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart with their latest single, “DAM,” as reported by Billboard Philippines on Tuesday.
This milestone marks SB19 as the first Filipino act to top the prestigious chart, further solidifying their dominance in the global music scene.
While this is their first No. 1 on the chart, SB19 is no stranger to international recognition. Their previous hit, “Gento,” also made waves, peaking at No. 8 in June 2023.
The Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart ranks the top 10 best-selling digital singles worldwide on a weekly basis, making SB19’s achievement even more remarkable.
Released in February, “DAM” serves as the first single from their highly anticipated comeback EP, “Simula at Wakas.” According to the group, the song’s title is derived from the Filipino word “Pakiramdam” and delivers a powerful message about staying true to one’s values and principles despite the sacrifices needed to chase greater dreams.
To celebrate the release of “Simula at Wakas,” SB19 is gearing up for a world tour, kicking off with a massive concert on May 31 at the Philippine Arena.
Formed in 2018, Pablo, Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin have led SB19 to become one of the most successful P-pop groups today, known for their hit songs “MAPA,” “GENTO,” and “Nyebe.”
